Khorasan is an ancient wheat that originated in the Middle East, with a unique, buttery flavour that gives it the nickname the sweet wheat. We put our whole grain Khorasan through the"cracker", breaking the kernel into smaller pieces. "The Sweet Wheat" Khorasan wheat is nutrient dense and highly digestible. In fact, some people who cannot tolerate wheat can enjoy Khorasan wheat. With more protein than wheat, it delivers a healthy complement of complex carbohydrates. Khorasan or Polish wheat has a high mineral content and is noted for its concentration of selenium. It also contains zinc, magnesium, vitamin E, thiamin, riboflavin, phosphorus, magnesium, zinc and copper.
