Our Grainworks Organic Quinoa Flakes are carefully milled in small batches from our farm-fresh, flavourful quinoa. Naturally gluten-free, quinoa flakes are a nutritious addition to any cereal, granola or baked good recipe. They're ideal for vegetarian and vegan diets and easy to use alone or combined with other flakes. Quinoa: Mother of All Grains Quinoa has a balanced set of amino acids and high protein content. In fact, organic quinoa flour is one of the most nutritious flours. Quinoa was named the "mother of all grains" by the Incas, who recognized and revered it as a superfood. Quinoa is rich in calcium, iron, phosphorous and B vitamins. Because quinoa flakes are also naturally gluten free, they're very famous for gluten-free baking. Please note: Though quinoa has no gluten, our organic quinoa flakes are not guaranteed to be gluten-free as products containing gluten are ground with the same mills as the quinoa. Tasty Tips and Storage Our fresh flakes are whole grains rolled for faster cooking and ease of use. Blend with other Grainworks Cereal Flakes for a multi-grain mix or enjoy them on their own. Use in bread, muffins, cookies, crumbles and more. Quinoa flakes can be stored for up to a year in the freezer in our resealable bag, or an airtight container. If not storing in the freezer, store it in a cool, dry and dark place for up to 6 months.
