BEEF, MUNG BEAN BARLEY BURGERS

Beef, mung bean and barley burgers

MAKES 10 PATTIES

Ingredients:

1kg lean ground beef
1/2 cup Grainworks mung beans
1/2 cup Grainworks hulled barley
4 cups water
2 eggs
Parsley
Worcestershire sauce to taste

Cook water with mung beans and hulled barley together either in a rice cooker- that’s my preference- or on the stove. This can take an hour. Once cooked let sit to cool.

Add raw beef, beans, barley, eggs, generous amount of parsley and Worcestershire sauce in a mixing bowel and mix by hand.

Shape into patties, I like to put them on parchment  paper as you can stack them and freeze them easily.

Once formed their ready to cook.
